Vinnie Paul Bio

Vinnie Paul was born in Dallas, Texas on March 11^th, 1964. Vinnie is best known as a heavy metal drummer and he is best acknowledged for his work

In Damageplan and Pantera. Vinnie’s heavy double-bass drum techniques and his additive elements of swing, has made him one of the most talented drummers of all time. His first professional band started in 1981 with the metal band, Pantera. In 1995, Pantera was nominated for a Grammy in the best metal performance genre. After the end of Pantera in 2003, Damageplan was formed and a first release in February of 2004 of New Found Power set them off. About 10 months later the lead singer of Damageplan, Dimebag Darrell, was shot down on stage; finally putting an end to Damageplan.

 

In the past few years, Vinnie has formed a record company called, Big Vin Records and has released numerous DVDs. Vinnie has legitimate deals with Sabian cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and Pearl drums. Vinnie is constantly coming up with new material and projects on a yearly basis all because of his devotion to music and his business like personality.
